Fergie: I started doing Ecstasy. Then I
got addicted to crystal methamphetamine. My weight dropped to 90lb.
I lied to my friends and said I was bulimic. Finally I started going
crazy. In that moment I talked to God and He said: 'I've given you
all these gifts, so what are you doing' I decided to get clean. I
told everybody what was wrong.
Fergie: Who
would I like to kiss? Probably Madonna because I'm jealous Christina
and Britney already got there.
Fergie: It's
funny because it's backwards. A lot of times I don't overtly try to
dress sexy. In fact, I've actually made an effort not to. Because I
don't want it to be all about that, you know I've been wearing
baggier clothes at my shows, just because it's important to me that
people know I am an artist, and not just some men's trophy model.
Fergie: It's
weird because I ended up on the cover of a magazine called FHM, and
I had not approved that.
Fergie: It's a
definite character. It's all tongue-in-cheek. It's just a fun song
portraying that situation. It's going to be really fun to perform.
Fergie: She
gets more [attention] than we do. The lesbians want her. All the
time. -will.i.am, on Fergie.
Fergie: To me,
when people don't expect much of you talent-wise, and then they come
to one of our shows, it probably makes the show better for the
person because they got something they didn't expect.
Fergie: I'm
very lucky. You know, I started in show business at about seven
years old. That's why I feel so appreciative of everything now
because I've been working hard at this all my life.
Fergie: Not
only that, but they're the best dancers on the planet. So for me, I
was kind of timid at first. And little by little, I would work my
way in to figure out where I fit in on the stage.
Fergie: Those
pictures were bought from a photographer. So for me, I wasn't
planning for that type of cover to be my first cover in America. And
a lot people ended up liking it, but that wasn't my plan to go in
that direction. I'm pretty casual most of the time.
Fergie: It's
weird because I ended up on the cover of a magazine called FHM, and
I had not approved that.
Fergie: And
I'm so happy with the way it's turning out, but we just felt after
Elephunk that we needed to make another Black Eyed Peas record.
